The Ultimate Palak Paneer recipe: Rich, Creamy, and Irresistible

Palak paneer recipe is very popular in India. It is mostly made during cold season. In this, spinach is boiled, gravy is made and cheese is added. It is very soft and tasty. Palak Paneer is made in a very short time. 

Material:

  • 500 grams spinach leaves
  • 200 grams cheese, chopped
  • 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  • small piece of ginger, chopped
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1-2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt as per taste
  • Ghee or oil 2-3 tbsp
  • cream 2 tbsp

How to make Palak Paneer

  • Wash and clean spinach thoroughly.
  • Heat water in a pan and add spinach to it. Boil spinach for 2-3 minutes. Now filter it and leave it till it cools down.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and fry it.
  • Add onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. After frying for some time, now add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till it becomes soft.
  • Add turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder, garam masala and salt to it. Fry well.
  • After frying the spices, add spinach paste to it and mix. If the gravy becomes thick then add some hot water and mix well.
  • Now add paneer in it, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • When the cheese becomes soft, turn off the gas and pour cream on top.
  • Now your Palak Paneer recipe is ready.

Some tips to make Palak paneer recipe

  1. To soften the cheese, soak it in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add milk cream to Palak Paneer after the gas turns off.
  3. If you want to increase the quantity of gravy then you can make it by heating water and adding some spices to it.
  4. If you eat low calorie food then you can use Paneer without frying.
  5. To enhance the taste, you can use Kasturi Methi in Palak Paneer.
