Maui police say a Hawaii man as soon as accused of homicide who escaped from the state’s psychiatric hospital has caught a flight off Maui.

The Maui Police Division on Tuesday did not say the place Randall Saito went. Saito was discovered not responsible of homicide by cause of madness for the 1979 killing of a lady at a shopping center. He has been dedicated to the hospital since 1981.

Honolulu police say Saito left the Hawaii State Hospital outdoors Honolulu at 9 a.m. Sunday and did not return. Maui police say he flew to Maui shortly afterward.

Protection attorneys sought to have Saito launched in 2000. However Jeff Albert, a deputy metropolis prosecutor, objected, saying Saito “fills all the standards of a basic serial killer.”

Hawaii authorities are looking for a person who escaped from the state’s psychiatric hospital outdoors Honolulu and flew to Maui.

Honolulu police say Randall Saito left the Hawaii State Hospital at 9 a.m. Sunday and did not return.

Maui County police say Saito flew to Maui shortly after he left the hospital, however they do not know the place he’s now.
